Butter Fingers~ Mrs. Lyon's Recipe
cookies
1 cup butter
5 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon water
2 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup finely ground nuts
Cream butter and sugar, add flour gradually beating after each addition. Add water, nuts & vanilla. Blend well and chill. Roll pieces of dough in hands until slightly thicker than a pencil. Cook until lightly browned then roll in white sugar.
