Dott's Coffee Cake

2 cup flour
2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
1 single egg
1 single speck of salt
CRUMB TOGETHER THE FLOUR, SUGAR AND BUTTER. TAKE OUT 1/2 CUP FOR TOPPING. ADD MILK TO REMAINING FLOUR MIX ADD OTHER INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL. PLACE IN GREASED 9 X 13 PAN. SPRINKLE TOPPING OVER THE TOP. BAKE AT 350 DEG F FOR 40 MINUTES. SERVE FROM BAKING PAN, HOT OR COLD.
